NEWS: Opta to become Official Data Provider for PL and FL, SPL and SFL

Opta is delighted to announce that the the four UK professional football Leagues (Premier League, The Football League, Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League) have appointed Opta as their official media data collection and distribution partner for three seasons commencing with the 2013-14 season.

This means that Opta will be able to provide official live data to the leagues' broadcasters, partners and clubs.

Among many advantages, this partnership means that The Championship will benefit from Opta's uniquely detailed live analysis for the first time. It means that Championship clubs will now have access to the same data benefits as some of the world's most innovative and technologically advanced leagues, including MLS, the Bundesliga and the Dutch Eredivisie.
