Host Ryan Bahia is joined by Ben Mackriell, Head of OptaPro, and Steve Head, Chief Scout at Charlton Athletic. Steve joined Charlton this summer and has over 30 years of experience in professional football, having had a number of different roles across analysis, recruitment, coaching and scouting.

Within this podcast, Steve discusses how his role has changed as performance data has become more widespread in professional football along with further discussion of his time at Fulham and Reading, where Steve and Ben worked together.

Steve also draws on his experiences as an opposition scout for the England senior team.
