Host Ryan Bahia is joined by Ben Mackriell and Three At The Back debutant, Philipp Obloch. Philipp is the OptaPro lead in Germany and also led last week’s first OptaPro football analytics conference in the country.

In this episode, the three discuss the event, focusing on presentations and how these will have resonated with the audience, which comprised 78 people from over 30 different teams across Germany, Austria, England and the Netherlands.

Philipp, a UEFA licenced A coach, also discusses how his coaching background influences how he sees data being best used in professional football, along with references to his own team, and his unique approach to pressing.

Presentations from the conference will soon be available.
